St-Bruno-de-Montarville, June 15th, 2020. Martin Murray, the mayor of St-Bruno-de-Montarville, was joined by the president and CEO of COGIR Real Estate, Mathieu Duguay, and Danielle Gratton, quality of life consultant, on Monday, June 15th for the official ground-breaking ceremony marking the site of the future Jazz St-Bruno retirement residence. “This launch is particularly meaningful for me, being a resident of the beautiful municipality of St-Bruno-de-Montarville,” said Mathieu Duguay. “Over the years, I’ve had retirees tell me they wanted to stay in St-Bruno but that there just weren’t enough options for them. This major construction project was designed to meet their needs so they can enjoy their dream retirement in their own community. We are investing more than $85 million in this residence, which will have 266 apartments in a building located right downtown, giving them access to an array of services in and around the residence.”
“We’re seeing a big shift in retirement residences,” said Frédéric Soucy, president of COGIR Management. “Our clients are more active and are looking for a safe and lively environment where they can make the most of their retirement years. Jazz St-Bruno is not like other residences. Rather, it’s a community of dynamic retirees to whom we offer the freedom to choose how they live each day.” Added Yves Duguay, vice-president of operations for COGIR, retirement homes division, “We held consultations with citizens and retirees in the area to come up with something that really suits them. This residence, open to the community and promoting intergenerational activities, boasts an architectural style and materials that are in harmony with the environment, contemporary common spaces and functional, bright apartments.” Sited where the former Natrel complex once stood, Jazz St-Bruno is scheduled to open in autumn 2021. More than 50 jobs will be created, with another 200 employed during the construction of the building.
“This is a major investment in an important phase of development and renewal of our downtown core. We welcome you to Saint-Bruno,” said Mayor Martin Murray.
Jazz St-Bruno residents will be treated to turnkey comfort. Along with contemporary units of 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms, they will enjoy many common spaces and unique services, including a cozy dining room, bistro, sports bar, pool, bowling alley, library, gym, electric car-sharing system and more. For greater peace of mind, all assisted living services will be provided as needed. The residence will also have a convenient multi-services centre offering a range of professional services. With a choice location and a multitude of services, Jazz St-Bruno will be a home base for active retirees in the heart of the community and nature.
